Back from diving in koh koh koh samui~

i think i’m getting decompression sickness.

have been feeling light-headed after the flight, and the soreness is getting worse. Almost fell while brushing my teeth this morning. or maybe its psychological.

I’m so gg to help myself to the oxygen at the hospital tomorrow. That’s prolly one of the good things about working in the hospital.

The dive trip was super duper good. It was the neighbours trip, with me, yiwen and josh. So wen and me took our advanced. Was really really fun. Got to do alot of different things this time round, pretty proud of myself really. hiakhiak.

1. First night dive!

Something that I actually had a bit of fear for, becos I cant see particularly well at night. The thought of diving in the dark with a lousy torch is really quite .. eee. was pretty cautious about it becos you really can’t see whether you’re drifting and you might suddenly just crash into a reef. more imptly, the urchins are really scattered all over. Didn’t want to brush against any.

The second night dive was better, kind of got used to the darkness and its really fun to just sneak a peek into the crevices, under the crack, just to spot smth. Saw a pufferfish!! its super duper cute, square faced, big eyed. hahah..

2. Did navigation. Got totally lost on the T azimuth. hahah.. but got it in the end. Never did so manydives in one day. 4 each day, 12 in total. finally hit 20 dives!! yeay..

3. Ditched 1 more weight this time. Now i’m gg down in normal shorties with 2.0kg. woohoo.

4. Deployed surface marker. Wasn’t too smooth with the line floating everywhere, but it got up well. =D

5. Saw jellyfish, and jellyfish eggs. Huge reef sharks, titan triggerfish.. blahdeedah. awesome. Swam through the chimney at Seal Rock. Took a couple of photos, cant wait to get them.

6. First live-on-board. It was a Japanese operator. We had our own cabins. nice toilets, hot water, good thai food, and the whole cruiser had only had 3 of us, 3 other japanese divers, the thai crew and our 3 super cute female diver masters and instructor. Girls rule.

I enjoyed it totally. It was just nice to be out at sea, away from everything. Living like a queen~ woohoo so pampered. we didnt have to rig up, didnt have to dismantle, and everyone is so helpful. i never ever want to go on day trips again. hahaha

Diving is prolly one of the coolest thing that I got to know, and i’ve never regretted doing it. =]

———————————————————————————————————-

Did one wakeboarding lesson for the first time with ongchiew and susan. it was gd, managed to stand up, but once i tilt my hips, it gets wobbly and i will fall flat on the nose. it rained abit, and the sun was only out for a while, but got burnt.

us with amanda, the ex-TCS actress, our instructor that day.

my blog is not mouldy.

yes, thankew yous daph. so here’s the entry. i guess i won’t be writing much, just loads of photos from the tazzie and melb trip. so here goes.

cascade falls with lousy exposure. taken by some angmoh.

another waterfall with oh-so-tall-and-slim sista.

wine glass bay lookout.

along one of the walks.

me and belle on suspension bridge at montezuma falls.

the dunno how many 100 plus metres high montezuma falls.

wallaby near lookout.

one of the beaches. the water is freezing cold and the crazy angmohs can still jump in in their bikinis and board shorts. siao. but awesome view anyways.

tazzie’s full of mountains, lakes, rainforests and waterfalls. a beautiful place.

the rugged coastline to waterfalls bluff. (i think thats the right name.)

the earth is round.

waterfalls bluff.

bored.

descent by the 3 musketeers.

all of us. taken by,

our mad guide, JASON.

of course, the trip was really fun. but there’s always some hidden tension among the group members. you never know when you’ll get kicked just when you bend over.

hmm dunno why but the orientation wont come out right. turn your head/screen daph.

Port Arthur’s church.

er turn the other way round.

i love tazzie. even though my legs almost broke with all the trekking and climbing.

next entry, melbourne.

blogging away from syd

I’m at this backpacker’s hostel in Melbourne after a totally exhausting week in tasmania. Tazzie’s really great, with really clean air, cold winds, daunting mountains and the rough and long walks around the rivers and lakes. but its still cool.

melbourne’s been great so far, its like returning to reality again. back to civilisation. the only really disappting event wa that the hot air ballooning was cancelled due to bad weather, and we didn’t have any free days to do a repeat. dammit. T_T

haiz. but no worries, food’s great over here. so its still all pretty enjoyable. more to come soon~

up here.

before any more pple start asking whether my blog is in the mortuary or the icu, thks to hunchman for the nice reference to hospital settings, maybe its time i write something.

life’s been ok.

there’s the ups.

-good food, good shopping, good holiday in fiji.

there’s the downs.

-school. and loads and carts-full of school work.

so it kind of neutralises any tiney weeny bit of happiness that u got from the ups above.

for now, the vicious cycle starts once again. and its time to dive head in into essays and more reports, before exams start in 3 wks’ time.

-hallelujah
