PS2 with eyetoy.
the first time i got to know about eyetoy was in sydney, from isabelle’s fren. the game was totally cock, cos the people playing it look ridiculously stewpit. but its a hell lot of fun when u have a whole bunch of people over. who cares whether u look like an idiot. hahaha

a little bus adventure
After the draggy 11 hrs of work last night, i headed home on my usual bus routine. Dragged myself onto the non-aircon double-decked 93, which was nice, cos its always nice to rock down the whole macritchie stretch on the second deck with the cool foresty smell from the whole lot of vegetation over there. I would then, jump off at the macritchie double bus-stop area, if i’m still awake by then, to catch another bus tat would tk me to my doorstep.
almost missing the second bus, i tore up and muttered a grunt of thks to the nice bus driver who waited for me. even though i didnt think he had much of a choice seeing i was right infront of the bus. he would have to run me over to get past me. hah.
just10seconds into the bus ride, the bus took a right turn towards the toapayoh area, sending the busload of pple in a frenzy. I opened my eyes and saw the oldies in the bus all discussing loudly about something in all sorts of dialects. Then, i tot “shyt, i musthave been damn tired to board the wrong bus. just my luck.”
But then, i realised that the bus driver looked very lost. and this auntie in red permed hair started to exclaim in hokkien, ” oi, li kia salah lor lah” looking very irritated cos she was standing at the door waiting to get off the next planned stop.
hiding the urge to burst out laughing i walked to the front and directed him to turn left into bishan before the bus goes any further down to hit the CTE, and we’ll really be gg for a ride around sillypore. he did a hasty lane change and filtered to the road that crosses before Raffles Institute, while explaining that it was only his first time on the road for this service, having seen only the route twice. he was quite apologetic as i directed him back towards the correct route, but however insisted on sending the spunky-looking auntie back to the intended stop. we got back to the route where he could have jolly-well dropped the aunty 1 stop away from her original stop but he insisted on gg back to macritchie. so he took a left turn at the firestation and planned to do a u-turn to get back onto the original route. all these, despite me telling him that it would be difficult for him to do a u-turn at macritchie, since his bus was long.
“Cannot lah, its my fault, ” he said.
We were trying to figure out a better way for him when a voice from behind said.
” Nair mind, nair mind, just let me off here.”
He opened the exit and dropped the already-squirming-in-her-hot-pants aunty at the stop opposite her destination. he then turned and apologised to her before she jumped off the bus.
“Luckily she never scold me hor,” he said, with a guilty smile.
hahaha, so cute.
we then, took anothter left turn back onto our roundabout route to bishan, crossing RI den beside RJC, and turning right onto marymount road. With the bus continuing its way back to yishun, with a load of amused oldies, who were surprisingly cooperative, and a fried bus gprs thingy tat they used to record the mileage for the bus fares.
what impressed me was the bus driver’s sense of responsibility to bring all his passengers to their intended stop despite what had happened. Kind of reminded of this delivery commercial where the delivery man had to walk across water to bring the parcel to his client. If i were him, i would have just dropped the auntie off 1 stop away from her original stop to save the trouble of making 2 rounds about RI and RJ. Guess i’m not cut out for the service industry. heh.
oh well, it was a nice little adventure before reaching home for my deep deep snooze. but honestly, i’ve always wished that i could kick a bus driver away from his seat and tk the bus on a roundabout trip through the whole sillypore. i guess this isn’t too bad. hahah. half a dream realised.
movie marathon
just went on a movie marathon this wkend, all in preparation for the no life wk ahead.
The leap years was one of the movies i caught, because the piano piece on the trailer was so moving that i couldnt help it. and surprise surprise, they had scenes that was taken at AH. heh.
sometimes, you just need that usual dose of fairytale stories to make the world more beautiful.
or maybe just a phonecall or a note.
=)
