A working adult.
After so many years for being a student, and suddenly i find myself really becoming a working adult. The transition phase is alright so far, the major problems are probably dealing with early sleeping hours, and the sudden responsibility to answer for your actions.
Advice from seniors have been really helpful, and somehow being the New Staff has a certain protection shield around you still. You can still be forgiven merely because you are not informed.
But it sucks to be clueless in an environment. And, it wont be before long that people start to have unspoken expectations of you.
So far, life has been good to me. In most situations, I have been able to get what I want, because they have been served up to me nicely, or I have been lucky enough to know the right people. Like my temp jobs, e.g. tuition - didn’t really last long with my sis’s frens, bookshop auntie - employed by my dad’s fren, laser - went for an impromptu interview cos i was out with justin and gang, present skirmskirm - was offered a job by babyciao josh…
there weren’t many instances where i had to work for what i want, apart from going for interviews for this course, which went fairly smoothly. The only effort I had to put in was to do furious mugging before exams and pray hard that I don’t screw up during clinicals, which i think i did a couple of times, and am still doing now. -_-
Luck has been with me all these while. Hopefully she likes me and will continue to stay. I’m hopeless when it comes to dealing with people. Even worse, when they are people whom you need to work with.
