and I thought…

And I thought for a moment, maybe there is such as a thing called sibling love.  After the emo comment from oh-so-tall-chio-smart-sporty sista, that subtly hints of her actually missing me a teeny weeny bit, I msned her.

[Hong] says: how come you’re so emo on my tagboard?

[risa kozumi] says: haha. i realised i’m quite a no-lifer after you left.

[risa kozumi] says: I didn’t catch any movies after you left.

[risa kozumi] says: I didn’t go shopping.

at this point, i was slightly touched.

[risa kozumi] says: cos my work schedule clashes totally with theirs.

at this point, i would say i was slightly crushed.

[Hong] says:  no wonder. cos i’m always available anytime, anyday rite.

[risa kozumi] says: yea.

[risa kozumi] says: bummers forever. *inserts irritating emoticon*

one of those troublesome days again, and every month i just have to look at the recruitment ad for National service to remind myself, its still not too bad being a girl.  Having the usual accompanying headache, but with added gastric reflux this time. Have been getting reflux more often lately. And being the stoodius girl that I always have been (one week before exams), I shall quote from my Rad Patho notes.

” GERD, is caused by the inability of lower esophageal sphincter to contract normally. Some causative agents include alcohol, chocolate, caffeine and fatty food.”

It feels like its destiny when you see all your comfort food being listed up there.

the way to kill a cockroach.

Today, while I was walking into the room with a cup of warm coffee, a cockroach scabbered out from the toilet, behind me into my pile of laundry that was lying on the floor. My roomie started a screeching frenzy about it crawling into my clothes. wah raoz. Nearly jumped out of my skin. Say properly darling. Its gg into my laundry, not onto me. But its disgusting either way. *-*

So I fished out the cockroach smasher, also commonly known as a rolled up magazine, or material with good tensile strength. And smacked it.

And its guts proceeded to fly out. and its head flew in the opposite direction. and one of its legs were stuck on the smasher. ewww.

stewpit cockroach. die also must dirty my floor and kill my appetite.

so had to clean the carcass up and clean the floor with antibacterial wipes.

this reminded me of another cockroach smashing incident back in singapore, where the same thing happened. just that that cockroach could FLY, and the smasher i had was prolly 3-4 times longer. Cos I’m bloody terrified of flying cockroaches.

and the amazing thing was, its guts and fluids were purplish. but the one I had today gave a greyish-black grim. Maybe its the environment. They even make cockroaches differently here in Sydney.

and so, I’m back to drinking my coffee. Pls remind me to disinfect my laundry.

a gloved conversation.

Yesterday, the crazy weather delivered another shock in the night. My roomie kept a close watch on the temperatures online, and announced that it was dipping by 1 degree Celsius every hour. Heard from isabelle that it apparently reached 8 C sometime last night. (&^%*%

well it wasn’t that bad. I had fun having an hour long msn chat with my roomie (yes, we were in the same room) while typing with gloves on. I hate having cold fingers and feet. She laughed at me and scolded “boliao” and proceeded to dig her gloves out as well. Amazingly, we understood each other’s every single word, even though most of it when something like this:

but after an hour’s long finger typing workout, my palms started to sweat. and she got sian of me. so we ended the gloved conversation. =(

we decided that it was time to recall our central heating. so long already, almost forgot how to set the timer. cmi.
